This site is an independent guide to licensing source code you own. It collects valuation requests on its own form, sets accepted requests up with one licensing program, and is paid when a visitor is accepted. You sell a license and keep the code, and a typical repo earns about $1,000 to $1,500 per license.
What is Sell My Codebase?
Sell My Codebase answers one question for people holding old code: can I sell it, and what is it worth? The honest answer today is that you license it. AI labs pay to license real source code and git history to train and evaluate coding models. You keep the code, and you can be paid each time it is licensed.
The site explains how that works in plain terms, publishes the rates and figures it relies on, and gives you one way to get a valuation. It is written for founders, agencies, companies and developers with code that stopped earning.
It is run by the people behind this site. It is not a law firm, an accountant or a broker, and nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice.
How does this site make money?
When you request a valuation, the form on this site collects your details. Accepted requests are set up with one licensing program, and this site is paid when a visitor is accepted into it. You pay nothing for that, and nothing is taken from your share.
The program is not named on this site. Its rates and figures are published here as it publishes them, labeled illustrative and conservative.

Where do the figures come from?
Every figure on this site comes from two config files, one for rates and one for program results, each with the date it was last checked against the program’s published figures. The build warns when those figures are over 45 days old and stops when they are over 90, so stale figures cannot ship. All figures are illustrative, conservative estimates. Your real value depends on analysis of your repos and on buyer demand.
