Privacy policy
Privacy policy for Sell My Codebase: what the valuation form collects, why, who receives it, cookie-free analytics and how to ask for deletion.
What we collect
When you request a valuation, the form collects your name, your company if you give one, your work email, any other email you add to help match your repositories, and whether you ticked “Keep me posted”. We also record the page you came from, the time you sent the form and your IP address, to help stop spam.
We do not collect your code through this site. If you go on to connect your repositories, that happens with the licensing program under its own agreement and privacy terms.
How we use it
We use your details to set you up with the licensing program and to follow up about your request. If you ticked “Keep me posted”, we may send occasional updates about the code licensing opportunity. You can opt out of those at any time. We do not sell your details or use them for advertising.
Who receives it
Your request is shared with one licensing program so it can set you up. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests to serve the site and runs the spam check on the form. Beyond that, your details are only shared where the law requires it.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies. It may use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts visits and button clicks without cookies and without identifying you.
How long we keep it
We keep your request while it is useful for setting you up and following up, and delete it when it is not. If you opted in to updates, we keep your email until you opt out.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Reply to any message we send you and say what you want. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law, including the right to complain to your local regulator.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
